Today was My Day Off. I get them now and then, when my mother-in-law has the day off from work and the kidlets have a day off from school.
On previous days off, I’ve gone to Disneyland, and even a writing-fest at Starbucks. They were great, and I’ve been looking forward to this one.
Yesterday, however, I noticed that the Little Kidlet was coughing a lot more than usual- and that the snot that had been dripping everywhere (we all thought it was allergies or something) went from clear to green. Uh oh.
So I took him to the doctor today, figuring that with the day off from school it would give him three doses of medication before Monday if it was something like bronchitis. And it was!
Bronchitis was exactly what his brother had a week or so ago. So it might have just been a matter of time- even though I know I cleaned their room thoroughly while the Older Kidlet was sick. Poor little guy.
I’m sure you’re seeing where this is going- my day off turned into a day filled with errands. Yaaaaaay.
Maybe I’ll sneak away tomorrow.
And as it is Veterans Day, I thought I’d share this vid of the Oldest Kidlet, wishing our soldiers thanks (he just has a hard time saying it). They were talking about it at school yesterday, and he actually wanted to go door to door to find veterans to thank.
